Girls football

Girls Football at the Met

MPYFC are working hard to increase our participation levels in girl’s football. We already have teams competing in age groups U8’s to U14’s and we are hoping to attract more girls into the game.

Girls in the U8’s currently play in mini festivals once a month and train every Saturday morning at our Wildcats centres which are based both at Imber court in East Molesey and at our Goals soccer centre training venues.

Girls in teams U9 to U14’s play a match every Sunday and train once a week on a Wednesday evening at Beverley park in New Malden (Summer time) and at Goals soccer centre New Malden in Winter.

We provide a fun footballing experience for the girls and children learn the many benefits of being part of a team over and above social interaction and the fitness benefits of football. These include, friendship and camaraderie; cooperation and teamwork; empathy and appreciation of different abilities; respect for team mates, opponents and officials and resilience through sharing positive and negative experiences.

If your daughter is interested in joining a team please contact Sue Blenkley the Girls Section Secretary by e-mailing In order to play all girls are registered with Surrey County Women and Girls League.
