About Our Club

Founded in 2009, MPYFC is a junior football club playing home games from our base in Imber Court, East Molesey. We welcome both boys and girls and this season we are delighted to have 27 teams ranging from Under 7’s to under 18’s represented in the Surrey Youth League. We are actively recruiting for players and teams and we would welcome visitors to the club to come along and see what we can offer.

MPYFC is an FA ‘Charter Standard Community Club’, meaning that our standards of safety, administration and coaching are second to none.

MPYFC is run by a committee comprising parent volunteers and club associates. We strive to provide a high standard of community football that is safe, enjoyable and appropriately competitive for all levels of player. MPYFC shares close links with the Senior club who play in the Amateur Premier Division South.

The club currently plays both competitive and non-competitive matches depending on the age group. Non-competitive means that there is no league table or results published and that matches are played to focus on player development rather than a win at all costs.  We kindly ask that parents comply with the Surrey Youth League ruling, whereby non-competitive age groups must not post-match results on social media.

Our training has an intense focus on player’s technical abilities and we aim to improve their understanding of how such skills are transferred to a match situation. All teams train weekly and we follow the England DNA. Training is a mandatory requirement and all players are expected to attend wearing their MPYFC training kit consisting of Met shorts, socks and training top.

As a club we are passionate about young people being able to develop and flourish in an environment that is fun, supportive and stimulating. We are fervent supporters of the FA’s Respect Campaign (We only do positive) and we are constantly working towards improving the attitudes and examples that people involved in community football display towards players, match officials and supporters.
